Yes, as part of our mission we regularly clean the studio and props to ensure everyone’s safety after each session. Now with the current COVID-19 situation we have doubled our efforts to maintain a clean and safe environment. We hand sanitize regularly, wear mask and gloves, and sessions are done with social distancing. We also take our temperature before each session and we ask our families/clients to do the same. If you need to reschedule because you are feeling sick or have tested positive with COVID-19 we will at no extra cost.
We have warps, blankets, hats, pillows, towels, butterfly wings, angel wings, tutus, crowns, baskets, bed, etc.
I bring a small selection of blankets and wraps to home sessions. I usually don’t bring baskets or other big props. At home sessions we do more lifestyle, which is a little different than what we do in the studio (more elaborate posing, props and lighting). We prefer to work with what you have at home, using your environment for a more personalized touch.
Most of our packages include the digital images. The exception is our base package, which just includes the sitting fee and you can choose what you’d like to add. You can also download or purchase images from the gallery website, too. Contact us for package information.
We recommend avoiding brands, large text, bright colors, and different patterns between family members. Family members should wear similar colors, meaning the level of contrast between the colors should be the same.
Call us at: 718.838.4827 or send us an email info@glyphny.com to book your session. Once you have contacted us, we will send a quote to select the session that fits your needs better. After you choose your package, we will send the contract and invoice.
We accept credit card, Zelle, Cash app, PayPal, Bitcoin, and cash.
When you book the hospital session we will put on tentative your due date and the day before/after, so we have an open time slot when you are at the hospital. Once your baby is born contact me so I can go take your hospital photos the day after.
We recommend having the newborn session within the baby’s first 7 days; it makes for the best photos. Within the babies first 2 weeks they fall asleep easier and longer, so for photos they are most cooperative during this time period. Over the 2 weeks? Don’t worry; it’s not too late for newborn photos! Even though it may be a little harder, I am a professional and we can still have great photos. You can contact me before your due date or after your baby is born to book your session. We highly recommend our Maternity + Newborn package if you’re planning ahead of time.
For newborn sessions either in the studio or at home, morning is the best time. For park sessions I prefer in the afternoon. It also can depend on the kid’s schedule
Newborn sessions can be about 2-3 hours. We work with the baby’s schedule taking in mind that they get hungry, need a diaper change or have a hard time falling asleep. For family and kids, we have small sessions 20-30 min. or full sessions from 45min -1hr. We believe sessions should not be more than an hour because kids get tired after that and no longer cooperate.
We will create your own password protected online gallery on our gallery site.
You photos will be ready to view 2-3 weeks after your photo session.
In the case one of the parties is sick we can reschedule the session. For outdoor sessions we will reschedule in case of rain or snow. We’ll reschedule for the next available time slot.
